Piano Lessons

One can never start too early!

Kainoa (8) kindly entertains her brother, Kawika (11m), as he entertains the rest of the household!

Thank you Carron!

This is our dear friend, Carron.  She is a longtime friend of our extended family.  She did something incredible last summer that has been a wonderful blessing to our family.  Carron offered to care for our children for an evening so that we could have a date night - once a month!  She brings dinner and cooks with the kids, and engages them on into the night.  They love it - and so do we!

Carron's generosity and thoughtfulness is so greatly appreciated.  What a perfect gift, blessing, and help to parents of little ones!  I want to remember how much we needed this break, so that when our children are older, we can do this and be a blessing to other young families.  Thank you Carron!

Because we homeschool...

Because we homeschool, the kids are generally home all day.
Between schoolwork, chores, family worship time, and meals etc., there are pockets of 'free time.'  I heard a commotion in the kitchen one afternoon and discovered 'the middles' (Kainoa 8 and Koa 6) rummaging through the cabinets looking for something to make.  I was not thrilled with the feet on the counters.

Kainoa makes lots of things from scratch - she is famous
for her cornbread - but because Koa was leading this charge,
I made him use a boxed mix.  They finally settled on organic
chocolate chip cookies.  Those mixes never make enough!
