Giving Thanks

O come, let us sing unto the LORD:
let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.

O come, let us worship and bow down:
let us kneel before the LORD our maker. —Psalm 95:1-6

The famous dessert room - complete with ice cream sundae station!

Impromptu hat party!

We ended our day at home with family devotions.  Our littlest ones often fall asleep during our bible time.  Tonight Kawika fell asleep on his little brother - who happens to still be in my tummy!  (About three-ish more months to go...)

We are grateful to the Lord for all He has given us.  Mostly, for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Because of Christ we can be forgiven of sins, reconciled to the Father, and have the promise of eternal life.

Giving Thanks Nov 2009

Every year we are very blessed to spend Thanksgiving with our dear friends, the Minehardts.

Suz goes out of her way to put together a fabulously delicious meal - complete with take home bags for everyone!

Everyone is made to feel included and special.  The children head up the entertainment for the evening, and are rewarded with exciting gift bags with goodies that Suz has brilliantly chosen for each.

Somehow Kapena (3) got out of doing the entertainment and watched all the other kids as he contentedly munched his popcorn.

Suz blew us all away by giving each family a copy of a beautiful book she made.  It included pictures from past Thanksgiving gatherings, stories, and her famous Thanksgiving recipes!

Wow, Suz, you are amazing!  We are so grateful for you and your family.  You and your generosity and thoughtfulness have been such a blessing to our family.  You are such a gracious hostess.  Thank you for being a constant example of giving of ones self.

It is a testimony to and reminder of the God we serve, who gave his only son to die, that we might live.
